The interior of the Capsule meeting room is now being lined with bamboo, a material known for its excellent ecological qualities. Due to the Capsule's elliptical shape, installation of the lining requires special expertise and precision, and is supported by digital design software. Bamboo is also used in the building's central Atrium, auditorium and sitting corners.

Why bamboo?
Bamboo is a universal name for a subfamily of perennial evergreen grasses. Consisting of separate sections and hollow inside, the bamboo stem is exceptionally light, strong and resilient. Its extraordinary qualities have been recognized by people worldwide, throughout human history, making it the most widely and diversely utilized grass on earth. Bamboo and its derivatives are used to make thousands of different products, including paper, oil, bio-diesel, various foods, large structures and flooring.

Bamboo plants grow very quickly - with some varieties growing more than a meter a day! A bamboo plant reaches maturity in only 4-6 years, while a tree takes 10 times as long to attain similar mass and solidity. Plus, once the bamboo plant's central stem has been cut, surrounding shoots continue to grow naturally, with no need for planting or any other human intervention. Thanks to its rapid growth and fast natural renewal, harvesting bamboo does not harm the delicate ecosystem, making it a highly sustainable, environment-friendly resource for many industries.

All terraces of the south-facing Eco-Wall have been covered with energy-generating thermo-solar vacuum tubes. Louvers have been installed on windows facing west, protecting the interior from the afternoon sun. And the broad windows and screen walls now in place in the northern façade let natural daylight into classrooms and offices.
