Let the Sunshine in – through the Ceiling

The building's exterior is now complete on all sides, and the Atrium's skylight ceiling has also been installed. This large central space, 16 meters high, is thus awash with natural daylight, making optimal use of a resource so abundant in our blue-skied land. A speckled coating on the transparent skylight moderates exposure, so as to prevent overheating of the interior.

Apart from its first obvious advantage – significantly reducing the building's electricity bill, research indicates that inflowing sunlight favorably affects the spirits of a building's occupants, and possibly their cognitive performance as well.

The Atrium's new skylight joins the screen walls positioned at the building's north façade, where incoming daylight is free of the direct glare from the south.
