Transportation and Accessibility
The PSES Building resides at the heart of the Tel Aviv University's 'Ecological Campus', with convenient access to major transportation routes.
The Porter School of Environmental Studies (PSES) Building is at the heart of the university’s ‘Ecological Campus’: a cluster of facilities dedicated to research and education in the fields of biodiversity, nature preservation and agriculture, including the zoological and botanical gardens, and in the future also the home of TAU nature collections. The site is on the eastern border of campus, adjacent to the main university entrance from the Ayalon Highway (gate 14). This location enables easy access to major transportation routes – Ayalon and the train station.
Additionally, numerous green principles were embedded into the PSES Building, designated to encourage non-polluting transportation:
- Parking spaces of the PSES Building were equipped with electric vehicle charging facilities. It should be noted that parking spaces are extremely limited, to discourage from driving;
- The building site is located in proximity to the university train station, a short walk away along the Science Promenade;
- Convenient dressing rooms and showers are available to sportive commuters – arriving by bicycle or walking.
- The PSES Building is adapted for the needs of people with disabilities and is fully accessible.
