Hundreds visit our building during Tel Aviv's 'Houses from Within' Festival

Hundreds of visitors toured the Porter School of Environmental Studies Building over the past weekend, as part of the city of Tel Aviv city's 'Houses from Within' Festival (or Batim Mibifnim as it's called in Hebrew).

26 May 2014

This annual architectural event, lasting one long weekend, opens dozens of buildings – from private homes through public facilities – to the public. Offering a wealth of visits, tours and discussions, the festival sheds light on architectural topics and heightens awareness of the urban environment.

The hundreds of visitors to our green building were allowed a first glimpse of this impressive structure – already an architectural and environmental landmark towering over the Ayalon Highway – a moment before its official opening to the public. Tours were led by the building's architects and planners, who presented its many unique aspects: the environmental vision, the complex planning process, decisions made in keeping with the principles of sustainable architecture, and the range of advanced environmental technologies designed for extensive savings in both water and energy.
