Capsule Building chosen for most outstanding building of 2014
The Capsule Building received 1st place (in the public buildings category) at the Israeli Association of Builders' Excellence Awards.
The Capsule Building received 1st place (in the public buildings category) at the Israeli Association of Builders' Excellence Awards. The building was chosen among 15 of the most outstanding buildings and structures in Israel over the past year – including office buildings, residential projects, historic buildings and even bridges – all chosen for their design, quality and compatibility to the local environment.
The judges explained their choice: "The building is a green structure at the highest level of both the Israeli Green Building Standard (5281) and the American LEED Standard. It is an innovative building, which creates its own electricity using solar energy, and uses the same system for shading and screening out noise."
