Community and Cross-Sector Initiatives

Alongside excellence in environmental research and teaching, the Department of Environmental Studies prioritizes activity with a direct impact on public awareness and environmental management in Israel. We recognize the need to bring forth the wealth of academic knowledge accumulated at the university to different realms of Israeli society: national and local governmental authorities, the education and judicial systems, public bodies and non-governmental organizations, industry and businesses, as well as the general public. Our environmental involvement programs seek to translate the school's academic work into practical applications and train students to serve as agents of environmental change.
