Gain Experience in Environmental Internships

The Porter Internship Program is an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience working on the frontline of Israeli environmental organizations through their participation in intern positions offered by various NGO’s and private sector bodies. The Internship Program offers engaging projects in a waide array of fields such as sustainability, environmental advocacy, environmental planning, social justice, transportation and ecological architecture.

It is an opportunity to experience the inside operation of environmental organizations and authorities in Israel, to obtain professional experience and to contribute to changes in environmental attitudes and policies in Israel. The internship experience also opens doors to employment opportunities for graduating students, in Israel and abroad.

Students are invited to apply for an internship position at the beginning of the academic year.

Here is what students told us about their experience in the Internship program

Naresh Bhansali, India

"I have a business background and I came here to learn about sustainable business strategies, that is where business and profitability meets environment and sustainability. I had a really nice opportunity to interns with one of the leading organizations in Israel by the name of Greeneye. Through that internship, I came to know about the strategy about responsible investment, which is a way to create private capital for climate change initiatives and any initiatives that can make the society more equitable and more resilient. This is a strategy where people can invest for their better future and still can earn returns on their investments. I am so intrigued by this field I want to focus my career in this field and I am hoping that I will be able to do that."

Juliana Rodriguez, Columbia

"I chose this program because they accept people from different backgrounds do it is really multidisciplinary. And its really interesting to have people from all background, it creates interesting blends. My research is about art and how art is communicating climate change and how it can be used as a tool to create awareness to people… for the future I plan to work in are and environmental projects, projects that are related with are and create awareness to people.
