Israel's First LEED Platinum Building Opens in Tel Aviv

Israel just cut the ribbon on the nation's first LEED Platinum certified building -- the Porter School of Environmental Studies (PSES) Building at Tel Aviv University! The building was designed by a collaborative group of Israeli architectural firms including Geotectura, Axelrod-Grobman Architects and Chen Architects. The Porter School's director, Dr. Arie Nesher, says students and visitors will use the university's first green building as a laboratory to study sustainable architecture.

Construction of this state-of-the-art building began in December 2011, and reached completion just last month. Here, Tel Aviv University environmental science students can work toward finding sustainable solutions to global problems in one of the most eco-friendly buildings in the world.
