Top LEED scores for The Porter School of Environmental Studies Building

The Building is well on its way to becoming the first building in Israel with LEED Platinum certification!

09 March 2014
In the recent Design Phase Review conducted by the U.S Green Building Council, our new building scored 64 out of the 66 points submitted for evaluation (with the 2 remaining points, lost due to a technical glitch, to be awarded in the next Review).
Assessed categories included: site sustainability, water efficiency, energy & atmosphere, materials & resources, indoor environmental quality and innovation in design.

Now preparing for the next stage of LEED evaluation – the Construction Phase Review – we recently submitted the PSES Building for a preliminary Construction Review. This advanced Phase is expected to add 24 more credits, bringing the total score to 90 points – 10 more than the threshold required for LEED Platinum certification!

The LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) system, developed and administered worldwide by the U.S. Green Building Council, is one of the world's main green building standards.  Its manifold criteria are designed to measure the building's long-term sustainability and environmental friendliness.
