Alex's research so far has covered topics in bioengineering as well as biomedical and environmental engineering. He holds a PhD in bioengineering from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and has done postdoctoral work at UC Berkley's Bioengineering/ Mechanical Engineering Departments and at Harvard Medical School's Center for Engineering in Medicine. In addition, Alex has authored 20 published research papers, chapters in several books and one complete book of his own.

Alex Golberg comes to us directly from Harvard, where he is currently researching the effect of micro-climatic dynamics on bacterial communities at the cell and tissue levels, and also growing biomass algae for energy needs.
