Academic Programs

The Porter School of Environmental Studies (PSES) offers a range of graduate environmental studies programs. All of our degree programs are based on an interdisciplinary approach, and maintain close cooperation with relevant faculties at Tel Aviv University, based on the premise that addressing environmental challenges requires a broad outlook and the integration of varied fields of research.

Undergraduate Programs: Degree + Certification

PSES is exploring options to engage with partner departments at the university, and open new challenging undergraduate study programs in the upcoming academic year (2014-15): Mechanical Engineering or Law with Geophysics and an Environmental Studies emphasis

 

 

International MA Program in Environmental Studies

This program provides international students a global understanding of the environmental field, with an integrated emphasis of local environmental aspects related to Israel's unique geographic and geopolitical situation. (Taught in English)

 

 

Master's Program MA / MSc (Thesis Track)

This program is interdisciplinary by nature, as each student has two thesis advisors, each from a different field, representing diverse angles of the research topic. The curricula are constructed individually, in accordance with each student's chosen research theme. (Taught in Hebrew)

 

 

Master's Program – MA (non-Thesis Track)

The program integrates extensive and global views with local and regional references to environmental issues. It features relevant courses from different faculties, alongside courses specially crafted for PSES students. (Taught in Hebrew)

 

 

PhD Program

Students on the doctoral program conduct interdisciplinary research within the broad scope of environmental issues. The study program is constructed individually, according to each student's research topic, and in collaboration with the pertinent faculties.
