Dr. Nimrod Inbar

Dr. Nimrod Inbar is a researcher of Geophysics and Geohydrology at the Department of Geophysics and Space sciences, Regional Eastern R&D Center and a research fellow at the Physics Department of Ariel University.

Currently, his research focuses mainly on hydrogeopysics using electric geophysical methods for the study of vadose zone structure and processes as well as time and frequency domain analysis of groundwater dynamics for the study of earthquake forecasting.

As a post-Doctorate fellow at the Porter School of environmental studies, Tel Aviv University (2012-2015) He worked on seismic data interpretation for structural and Geohydrological modeling at the Jordan Rift Valley collaborating also with scientists from Jordan and Germany. As a PhD student at the Department of Geophysics and planetary sciences, Tel Aviv University (2005-2012), he studied salt tectonics of Kinneret Pull-apart basin and its paleo effect on groundwater.  He has been a visiting young scientist at the Department of Applied Geology University of Karlsruhe (2005-2006) conducting XRD analysis of salts from the Kinneret Pull-apart basin. Throughout his PhD studies he took part in the "SMART" multi-lateral German-Israeli-Jordanian-Palestinian project (BMBF-MOST project).
