Dr. Shula Goulden studied geography and environmental policy in the UK (University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics), and completed her PhD at Ben Gurion University on policy and discourse in sustainable construction. She was a post-doctoral fellow at the Technion Institute of Technology in 2015-2017 where she led a research project on transitions to sustainable urban stormwater management.
Her research interests focus on urban environmental governance, emerging environmental policy concepts, environmental standards and socio-technical systems. Previously she worked in external relations at the Israel Ministry of Environmental Protection and later at The Porter School of the Environment and Earth Sciences at Tel Aviv University. She currently manages the Research Program of the Center for Innovation in Transportation, based at The Porter School.
