Or Givan is a researcher in the Zoology Department at Tel Aviv University. He completed both his PhD in community ecology and his MSc in computational ecology at Tel Aviv University and his physics BSc at the Hebrew University.

He is interested in community ecology, with questions ranging from community assembly processes to the spread of infectious diseases within a community. He is currently examining new methods to isolate and identify ecological processes in noisy environments by adopting graph theory approaches.
