Professor Price is a researcher and lecturer in Atmospheric Sciences in the School of Geosciences at Tel Aviv University. At the moment he is also Head of the Porter School of Environmental Studies.
His main field of research relate to global lightning activity, and the connections between lightning activity and the Earth's climate. Other related research deals with other electrical phenomenon in the atmosphere (sprites, lightning and severe weather, ionopshere measurements, meteors, precursors to earthquakes, space weather), as well as climate change and climate variability (El Nino, mesopause temperatures, global warming, global lightning changes). He teaches courses in Atmospheric Science, Atmospheric Electricity, Climate Change, El Nino, and Biomass Burning.
