Professor Price is a researcher and lecturer in Atmospheric Sciences in the School of Geosciences at Tel Aviv University.Served as Head of the Department of Environmental Studies from 2017-2022. 

His main field of research relate to global lightning activity, and the connections between lightning activity and the Earth's climate. Other related research deals with other electrical phenomenon in the atmosphere (sprites, lightning and severe weather, ionopshere measurements, meteors, precursors to earthquakes, space weather), as well as climate change and climate variability (El Nino, mesopause temperatures, global warming, global lightning changes). He teaches courses in Atmospheric Science, Atmospheric Electricity, Climate Change, El Nino, and Biomass Burning.
