Teaching Green Building in the Academia

The Porter School of Environmental Studies will be hosting a gathering, as part of its ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Israel Green Building Council (ILGBC), addressing the relationships between sustainability, architecture and academia.

 

The event will be held mostly in Hebrew, with a guest lecture in English by Prof. Sergio Altomonte from the University of Nottingham, who led the educate project to advance environmental practices in curricula of architectural study programs in European universities.

  • 11:30-11:50       Dr. Noam Austerlitz: The process of the Israeli initiative to assimilate green building and sustainability thinking in the academia
  • 11:50-12:10       Arch. Ronny Daniel: Launch presentation of open-source course on teaching green architecture
  • 12:10-12:30       Arch. Barak Feldman: Presentation of work group products and initial projects ensuing from the Israeli process.
