Why did you choose the International MA program in TAU
I chose the program because in the years prior to the program in my professional career I became involved in several Smart City and Smart Mobility projects and found the sustainability challenges that were being discussed fascinating and wanted to learn more. I was particularly attracted to the wide variety of subjects we would touch upon in the program and the program's holistic approach to learning about sustainability and environmental issues.
What did you enjoy throughout the program?
Throughout the program I enjoyed the consistent comparisons and contextualizations between the global environmental movement and challenges with the local Israeli and Middle Eastern experiences. I found the eclectic mix of students from different countries from across the world that come to Tel Aviv to study together greatly enriched the program and my learning experience. I saw this best during the multiple planned trips across Israel throughout the year and during the in-depth class discussions which greatly add to the year; when you really get the chance to hear different perspectives. Finally, I greatly enjoyed the additional academic year in which I completed my research and Masters thesis - the independence and support to conduct the in-field study, working the water quality laboratory and contributing knowledge to the field of off-grid greywater.
